Festival of Contemporary Music in Krakow

In 2016, the Sacrum Profanum Festival will focus on the presentation of the most modern music and most recent trends in contemporary music while not resigning from the context of 20th-century works, including many works that were considered to be incomprehensible at the time of their creation. Thus, Sacrum Profanum 2016 is a festival of contemporary music in its broad sense – both academic, indie classical and avant garde music. It combines fluently genres and aesthetic styles and brings together artists and performers from various environments. The multidisciplinary and varied programme of the festival consists of concerts and music shows: ballet, operas, workshops, panels, meetings, installations, exhibitions and attractions for children. Events are held in many locations in Krakow, being strictly connected with the city. The programme will be focused around concepts of Space-Movement-Sound.
